The Blue Abyss

OK so this is the results from a visual merchandising brief I done last year. The brief was to choose an artist we thought was creative and original, then using accessories, produce a photo shoot in the aesthetic of this particular artist.
I choose Yves Klein for our shoot, the artist is well known for his trademark International Klein Blue. I also looked into his obsession of space and owning the sky .
The colour of International Klein Blue

The use of dark lighting allows the balloon to stand out more. The position of the bag is used to make it look like it is about the take off or drifting in space. I used a blue filter over the lighting to get the blue hue.

These are some test shoots thrown in, to help get an idea of the composition

A close up shot, used here to emphasize the writing on the bag.
The lighting on this shot is dark but not as dark as the previous shoot. The position of the bag is again to make it look like the bag is drifting in the sky, which is emphasized through the starry night background.
